Starting the journey

This journey has been going for the past 11 years, but not at God's pace. I have not been the influence that I should, and have not surrounded us with the positive influences that I should have. Don't get me wrong, God is and has been a large part in our lives, but as life got busier, God was easily pushed to the weekends instead of daily. My daily journey was happening, but not my son's. Fortunately God has put a few friends in my life who keep pointing me in the right direction, and that direction is to protect the gift that God has given me better. As he nears going to high school, my need to make sure that he has a strong and firm belief that God is with him - daily - and that we are a team (with God) to get past all the difficulties which lie out there in society. I am currently reading Teaching true love to a sex at 13 generation by Eric & Leslie Ludy. It has scared me, thinking about the lions I was about to throw my precious gift to. God is with us on this journey that we are undertaking, and i feel strengthened to know that others care for their gifts from God aswell.
